Q: Can we have our own branding? A: You certainly can. We are able to amend the design of the system to reflect your branding and do this as part of the setup phase.

Q: Can we add our existing courses? A: Yes. We are happy to add them to the system for you and make them available to your staff. We charge a small administrative fee for doing this.
----------------------------------
Q: What is in the setup phase? A: Well, in most situations, you’ll want to have local courseware servers to reduce your internet bandwidth usage. We install these as part of the setup phase as well as amend the system to reflect your branding.
----------------------------------
Q: What assessments do you do? A: We endeavour to assess the transfer of knowledge in some way at least. This is usually in the form of revision assessments but may also be in the form of a workbook which the learner is required to complete and send back to us when they’re done. We also offer assignments which need to be completed and submitted back to us through the system.
----------------------------------
Q: What is a SETA assessment and how is this different to your assessments? A: The SETAs are the government bodies that have been setup to manage education standards on a national level. Some of our courses are aligned with these standards meaning an official SETA assessment can be undertaken upon completion of the course. The results of these assessments are nationally recognised, whereas the results reflected as part of a Bridgewater Learning test may only recognised by us. Often a SETA assessment requires an onsite practical test which Bridgewater does not conduct itself. Instead we assist in organising such assessments if required.
----------------------------------
Q: What happens after a student completes a course? A: Apart from receiving a Bridgewater Learning certificate the learner may undertake an official SETA assessment if the course they have taken is aligned with SETA stipulated outcomes (unit standards).

Q: What IT considerations are there in using your service? A: We've tried to minimise the IT impact as much as possible. Where bandwidth is limited we advise the installation of one of our media servers. This needs to be connected to your local network and to the internet. Each learner's computer needs access to the internet and a sound card. For more specific details please give us a call.
