Course Details:

The motivation of staff is a critical factor in the success of a business. Issues of motivation exist where the goals of the employees are misaligned with those of the employer, or misunderstood. Employers have a tendency to throw money at the problem but, as this course shows, money is not the strongest motivator.

The programme covers some established theories of motivation before providing the learner with practical guidance in managing and improving the motivation of staff. Also covered is performance management and how to ensure the goals of the business and the goals of the employee can be aligned.

As with many business problems, communication is a key issue.
